I just got done reading Waiting for Birdy. If you are a mom or you are going to be one soon, you should read this book. It is written my a woman who has a toddler/preschooler and is expecting her second and all the crazy phobias, situations, etc. that being pregnant, having a toddler/preschooler and dealing with a newborn can put you in. You will laugh and nod your head through the entire book because you have been there, too.

We FINALLY got our garden planted. It rained and rained and rained for weeks so we weren’t able to get anything planted and now that we do have it planted, it refuses to rain even a tiny bit. This is the second year we have had our garden. This year we planted corn, carrots, peas, beans, tomato plants, echinacea, salvia, and marigolds. Liam and Colm had a great time planting and digging, but Colm had more fun once it was time to water. He watered himself more than he watered the plants, but atleast it kept him busy. I should also mention that without the help of my mom, this garden would have never happened…she is the greenthumb and I am her apprentice.

Liam had his school picnic today. It was a lot of fun and it was a beautiful day. Sean took off work so he could come, too. It was funny to see how Liam interacts with his schoolfriends since I don’t get to see that. He mostly played with Jaime and her little sister, Lindsay. Colm had a great time, too, but it was hard for him since he is such a little guy compared to the rest of the kids there. He wants to do what they are doing, but just isn’t quite big enough.

We went and saw the Wiggles tonight. I’m not sure who had more fun-Sean and I or the kids. Liam woke up bright and early this morning and had his red shirt in hand. He wanted to wear a red shirt like Murray. He wanted the rest of us to dress accordingly as well. Luckily, I don’t have a yellow shirt and Colm doesn’t have a purple shirt, so we were off the hook. Once we got there, it took Colm a little while to figure out what was going on, but once he stopped watching the big screens and realized that Murray, Jeff, Anthony and Greg were right there, he wouldn’t stop waving to them. It was too cute. He just kept waving and saying, “hi, hi, hi.”
