We spent our mornings this week at Little Angels. It was a program at church for the preschool-aged and under set. We read books, danced and did some crafts. They even got to play on the playground and have a picnic on the last day.

Don’t you hate it when you have just bathed your little one and they are all fresh and warm and snug in their nice clean pajamas and then… they poop in their diaper. Couldn’t they just wait until morning so they could atleast be relatively clean until morning? I hate that!
I have loved the Dixie Chicks since the moment I heard them and I love them even more now that they have returned from weathering the G Dubbya fiasco. I saw them on Larry King Live the other night and they just rock-both literally and figuratively.  They stand behind what they said and that’s that. Sean bought me their new CD and although I will admit it is not their best, it is still pretty darn good. Tickets for their Kansas City show go on sale this Saturday and I think I just might want to go.
Liam was inspired to have a carwash this weekend when he saw our neighbors washing their cars. Why he decided that now would be a good time I am not sure because our neighbors are ALWAYS washing their cars. They have the shiniest cars in the tri-county area. Astronauts can probably see them from space they are so shiny. So anyways, now atleast one of our cars is a little bit shinier than it was yesterday.
We were in church today and I had to go change Colm’s diaper. Liam decided he had to come with me, too. So we are all in the bathroom and this woman comes in who is rather large…you know where this is going. We all have to kind of shuffle so she can get past us to get into the bathroom and then do the same as she is leaving. Of course, while she is leaving Liam has to say, “Mom, that lady was really fat.” I ignore him hoping that the conversation will end. He thinks I didn’t hear him so he says it again. Ugh!!!!I know she has heard him and of course I have a million things running through my head as to how I should handle the situation. Once she exits, I explain to him why that wasn’t nice and that he should NEVER say that again. I think he was a little baffled as to why I was so upset. But to make a bad situation even worse, when we walk out of the bathroom, she is standing in the gathering area with her husband holding her brand new baby. I could have died. No one who is recently postpartum should be subjected to the rantings of a 4-year old about their weight.
Sean’s work sponsored a family day at Worlds of Fun today. We had so much fun! I think the kids rode just about every ride they were tall enough to ride in Camp Snoopy. Liam was a little hesitant about going until he found out they had bumper cars. I have absolutely no idea how he knew what bumper cars were before today, but he really seems to like them.
I just won $25.00! Okay, I know that’s not a lot, but what a pleasant surprise. A few months ago I entered a contest for free groceries that was on the wrapper of the bread we buy. I had totally forgotten about it until I got an e-mail today saying I had won. Yippee!
With school over and the lazy days of summer looming before us, it is time to schedule some playdates. Yesterday Matthew and Allison came over. Today John Paul, Mark and Luke came over and tomorrow Gabe and Kacey are coming over. The boys are having so much fun and have spent a large chunk of their playdates playing hide-and-go-seek in the basement. That’s the life!
We were walking through Target today and Liam says, loud enough for anyone within earshot to hear, “I can still smell my toot, but it is kind of mixed up in the air.”
