Our ding dong snowplow guy shoveled all of the snow from our cul-de-sac into the bottom of our driveway. So as I was backing out this morning I got stuck in the mountain of snow he left for us. The boys were very patient as a tried reverse and then drive about a hundred different times trying to get us unstuck. I tried it while turning the wheels, I put it in various gears, all the while going absolutely nowhere. So I opened my door and realized how far up the snow really was…we weren’t going anywhere without some serious intervention. So, with kids still in the car waiting patiently, I opened up the garage, got out the shovel and started to dig. It was very cold outside, so I did as much as I thought I had to to get us out and then hopped back in the car. It took some more creative manuevering, but I did get us out-FINALLY! I was very excited because Colm had Mother Goose at the library today and Liam had a playdate after that, so our whole day was going to be shot if we were stuck at the end of our driveway. So, in my enthusiasm I said, “Yay, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus for getting us out of the snow. Yay!” To which Liam replied, “Jesus is a Rescue Hero!”. Yes, he is. I just never thought of it that way. 🙂
