Liam nominated his Godfather as the kindest person in the metro. To nominate someone you have to draw a picture of them and write a sentence or two about why they are special to you. Liam wrote, “John is my Godfather. He was in the war.” John is in the Army Reserve and got back from Iraq last fall after being there for over a year. Liam LOVES his Godfather and I think Liam is pretty impressed by John’s Army uniform, too. Anyways, they had a special assembly at Liam’s school for all of the nominees. It was great that John could take an afternoon off of work and come to Liam’s school. Liam was thrilled!
