I have joined our neighborhood book club. Our next book is The Hundred Secret Senses by Amy Tan. I am excited about joining this book club because I hope it will not only help me to get to know more of my neighbors, but I will also be forced to read books that I would not normally choose to read. After this book we are going to read a book that we should have read in high school but didn’t, like The Great Gatsby or The Grapes of Wrath…something like that.

They could have just driven the kids around in the bus and they all would have been super happy. Riding the bus was half the fun. 🙂 Colm reported to me that it was very bouncy.

Why are there no pictures of Colm actually picking apples? That is because they picked the apples right when they got there and I got so incredibly lost on the way to the orchard that I missed that part. 🙁 His teacher said she might have a picture of him for me. I still got there in time to ride on the hayride, feed the goats and eat lunch though.
