This weekend Sean and I were discussing my FIL’s upcoming trip to Europe. Colm overheard us say “Europe” and started in on how Indians live in Europe. Hmmm… Sean and I approached it from every angle we could think of that he might be coming from, but none of them were “right” according to Colm. He insisted that “Indians with bows and arrows” live in Europe. Once Colm gets his mind set on something, there is no convincing him otherwise. He gets this look on his face (which also happens to be the look he gets on his face when he’s fibbing.) Stubborn little fellow he is. I wonder where he gets that from? 🙂
Why are children so fickle when it comes to the things they like to eat? For example, Colm ate pickles from the time he was physically capable of eating them until about a year or so ago. He didn’t just like them either. He would beg for them at the store. If you were at a restaurant and you had one of your plate, he would more than likely steal it from you. Then, all of a sudden one day, he decided he didn’t like them any more and refused to eat them. Why? Honestly, I think he might have gotten ahold of a sweet pickle when he was used to eating dill and that just ruined it for him. So, this weekend we were at the store and he asked for a jar of pickles. I hate to waste food, so I was a little skeptical, but he promised me he would eat them. Well, he loves them. He has eaten one at home and I put one in his lunch for school today and he told me he wants two or three in his lunch for tomorrow. Whatever, I won’t complain, it’s a veggie-right?
