I always make chili the exact same way. Â It’s fine and no one complains, but I decided we needed to try something different this evening so I made Cheesy Hash Brown Chili. Â It was very yummy, Â super tasty, and ridiculously easy.

Colm loves Bad Dog, Marley. Â He got it from the school library and we have read it SEVERAL times. Â It is a cute story though and I can totally relate. Â We once had a dog who we loved to pieces, but we couldn’t live with her…she was tearing our house, fence, etc. to pieces.
Liam came to me tonight and asked me if the sun was going to explode in a million years. I told him that it would someday, but that it would be millions or billions of years from now.
He then burst into tears because he was worried that we wouldn’t have anywhere to live when Jesus comes back if there isn’t a sun then. I assured him that God would have it covered and there wasn’t anything to worry about. I think he was reassured a little, but I could still see the little wheels in his head turning.
My neighborhood Bible Study group just finished this ten week study today. At first I was a little unsure about it. The reading was great, but there is also a video you watch every week that goes along with the lesson and that was the part that was bothering me. Beth Moore is so knowledgeable, but she is also very VERY!!!! She cannot be ignored and her personality can be a little over the top at times. She took a little getting used to, but she is very good at what she does and there is a lot to be learned from her. We are going to do another study in the fall and I am very much looking forward to it.
This was explained to me by Liam:
“Mom, did you know God is dog spelled backwards? And dogs are man’s best friend and God is our best friend. It’s like a food chain only it’s a family chain.”
Wise little man. 🙂
Liam and Colm were playing outside with their light sabers this morning when Liam got whacked in the head by Colm. Liam was upset and he did have a pretty good red spot on his cheek from it. Colm came over, looked at Liam, noticed the tears and said, “I guess I’m the chosen one.”
He then apologized.
Where do they come up with this stuff????

Taking a trip around the sun to represent one year of his life. (They do it for every year they have been alive as they light each candle and show their classmates a picture of themselves for each year.)

I had mentioned in an earlier post that Liam’s best friend is moving. They aren’t gone yet, but they will be in four days. He came over to play today after school and we have cleared our calendar for the rest of the week so the boys can play together after school as much as they want. They LOVE to play video games together and they both know WAY too much about Pokemon, Bakugan and the like, but that is what makes them such good friends.

I will miss this.
I am so excited!!! The circus is coming to town and it is not JUST a circus, it is an old-fashioned circus with a tent!!! It is sponsored by JCCC and is coming in just a few weeks. We have never taken the boys to a circus and this seems like a good place to start. I am even more intrigued after reading Water for Elephants.
