We didn’t really know what to expect when we signed up for this tournament, but now that’s he done it I know he will definitely do one again. The kids were divided up by age, belt color and gender. They did their form and broke boards. They were scored after each event and were told what their standing was after each event. Liam is still learning his form for his yellow belt, so he didn’t do too hot on that part. He did AWESOME on the board breaking though. He has only ever broken a board once and that was with his hand. I guess at tournaments they let you decide how you want to break the boards. Today he had to break two boards. When they asked him how he wanted to break the boards he told them he wanted to do a snap kick for one board and a sidekick for the other. I was a little nervous about his choice and didn’t think it was very wise, but he proved me wrong. I think there were only two kids in his group that broke their boards on the first try. I was so proud.
