Currently our church is meeting in a college gymnasium. It is certainly big enough, but it doesn’t have that “churchy” feel, that’s for sure. This is a model of our church; it should be done in time for Christmas.

This picture was taken by Colm. Diarmaid is truly the sweetest dog; we are so lucky to have him in our family.

Mom, why do so many people live in China?

Mom, how does your skin fall off when you die? When does it fall off? Where does it go when it falls off?

After putting on my swimsuit…Mom, you are as white as snow. (Look in the mirror, buster.)

Mom, if we have an earthquake, how big will the machine be that comes and digs me out?

Colm has been taking swim lessons for the past month or so. Friday was the last day of the session so they got to have a little fun and they got their swim “report card”. Our little fish did such a good job he gets to skip a level for the next session of swim lessons. 🙂

Todd, Colm’s instructor, was the perfect match for Colm. On a side note: Colm was impressed that Todd’s tattoo stayed on the entire time Colm had swim lessons. 🙂 (Colm doesn’t know about permanent tattoos, he’s only familiar with the kind that rub off after a few days.)

We took the boys to go see one of Liam’s favorite authors, Brandon Mull. He writes the Fabelhaven series which Liam is a fan of.

Sean was out of town so the boys and I went out to dinner. The pizza was terrible, but they had video games so I guess it doesn’t matter. 🙂

Colm’s class had a surprise baby shower for their teacher. They played a lot of fun games, had cake, gave her some parenting advice and drew pictures of what they thought her baby would like.

It turned out that the baby had a surprise for us though. Colm’s teacher wasn’t at school the day of the shower because she was put on bedrest the night before the shower. She didn’t teach that day, but once she found out about the party she did sneak in for a while. 🙂

The pets are enjoying the view from our second story apartment. We live on a popular jogging path and across from a little park where people take their dogs to play frisbee or just stretch their legs; there is always something going on and Butch and Diarmaid have a first row seat.

We found Liam’s old scooter and Colm’s bike in storage, but we didn’t find their helmets. So, off to Target to get them helmets. Once we had all the appropriate safety gear, we gathered up their basketballs and while they rode their bike/scooter up to the school to shoot some hoops, Sean and I (mostly Sean) chased them all the way there and all the way back. (Two kids on wheels move a lot faster than two parents walking.)
