When Sean and I were first here without the boys looking for houses we had several people tell us that we needed to go to VooDoo Doughnuts. We didn’t have time for that when we were here looking for houses nor was I in the mindset to go get doughnuts downtown at the time. Today, five months later however, is a totally different story. (We actually tried to come here once during spring break, but the line was so ridiculously long there was no way I was going to stand in that line with two boys.) So after swim lessons we headed downtown, found a place to park and found a line what was short by VooDoo standards.

Picking out which one(s) they are going to get.

Some of the yummies we got…the boys had already eaten theirs.
We have spent the past month or so following the World Cup, so Sean and I got the idea about midnight the day of the World Cup final to go see it downtown with 10,000 other people. I am so glad we went. Seeing it on the big screen with tons of other people definitely adds to the experience as opposed to watching it in our family room which is what we had been doing.

So we rearranged our Sunday plans, slathered on the sunscreen and headed downtown. The team we were rooting for didn’t win, but that didn’t take away from the fun one bit.
