The boys went to the eye doctor today. This was Liam’s second time to the eye doctor and Colm’s first time. Their eyes are healthy and no glasses needed. 🙂

Archive for September 2010
In order to help the boys get ready in the morning without me having to nag at them remind them every morning of what needs to get done before we head out the door, I made these:

The one on the left is for the morning. The one on the right is for when we get home. It’s a checklist of what needs to be done before they do anything else like watch TV or play outside.
They are working like magic so far. (Notice how Liam wrote TV and dinner underneath the after school one.) 🙂

(Project 365-9/12/10)
Colm played Bingo for probably more than an hour. He WANTED HAD to win. He also figured out that the more of us he could get to play with him, the greater “his” chances would be of winning. He got Sean to play with him for a while and I played with him for a while. Liam didn’t want to play and that didn’t go over to well with Mr. Colm. So, we played and we played…round after round…and he didn’t win, not once. He even switched out his cards once. I finally convinced him to stop playing since all of the prizes he wanted were gone…tears flowed…and then we went to the cake walk…

…and he WON!!!

Decisions, decisions, decisions…

Liam won, too!!!
Since everyone had won we decided to leave while everyone was happy. 🙂
I got these for SUPER cheap to help promote MommaReads and MommaCooks. I know, I got business cards for blogs that aren’t a business, but I spend so much time on them that I want people to read and enjoy, so I thought I would get these to help spread the word.

Colm LOVES his orange flip-flops. Now that summer is essentially over and he is wearing his tennies to school I am kind of missing his dirty toes and watching him run around with his bright orange flip-flops. What I miss the most though is that sometimes he wears them with socks…very fashion forward. 🙂

Colm did FANTASTIC at his first lesson. He remembered a lot from his cello days which is going to really help him and he has already figured out the first few notes to the first song he will learn. Having an older brother who has been playing for several years definitely helps, too. Colm has been listening and watching Liam for over five years…surely something sunk in during all that time. 🙂
