Here is Liam playing Hunter’s Chorus:

Where is the video of Colm you ask? Very good question. Both of Colm’s parents were temporarily technologically impaired at the exact same time and we have no video. All his teacher has them do for their first recital is take a bow and he took a marvelous bow. It was spectacular…the best bow ever, but I have to video to show you. 🙁

It was an innocent mistake…a pluck of the string that was a little too hard and out popped Colm’s bridge. It scared the heck out of him and he sobbed and sobbed. He tried to get it back in himself and he would not listen to me when I told him he was going to make it worse if he ended up breaking the bridge in half; he was bound and determined to fix it himself. Well, obviously that didn’t happen, since it takes a little know how to get that done, but Colm’s teacher did graciously fixed it for us.
The bridge is the light wooden part that holds the strings up. It’s all fixed in this picture.

He likes to paint his face…can you tell? Trouble is, it doesn’t come off quite as easily as it goes on. I think I scrubbed a layer of skin off of his face that night. It still didn’t all come off. He went to school the next morning looking a little more colorful than normal.

Parent-teacher conferences were today. Both of the boys’ teachers had great things to say about each of them and also talked about areas that they could both improve in as well. I am very proud of both of them! They are both working very hard and making lots of progress. This is a photo I snapped outside of Colm’s classroom while I was waiting for my turn to talk with his teacher.
