Liam decided he wanted to help decorate for Halloween so he made this bat and taped it to the shutters in the dining room. 🙂

Prepped for the final touches in the morning

Right before school started I had these so organized. They were all washed, dried and stacked just so. Now that we have been using them to take snacks and lunches to school for the past five weeks, they are not quite as organized as they once were.

Tomorrow is my first day of teaching 16 first graders about their Catholic faith. We are going to start with some getting to know you songs/activities and discussing who teaches them about God and who/what they think God is. Next week we are going to learn about Mary.

One of the staff members at the boys’ school unexpectedly passed away last weekend. They had a memorial service today to celebrate her life and her impact on the school. It was so well done and so beautiful…students, parents, staff and her family all gathered together. The children sang and the teachers read a few letters the children had written to her. They had asked each child to bring in a few flowers. This is only some of the flowers…I couldn’t get them all in the picture.

This is one of the songs the children sang…

This was so awesome…they had the fifth graders start and then the fourth graders joined in, then third grade, etc, etc…by the end all of the children were singing. What a beautiful tribute.

This little kitty has been in the window for months and months and months. Colm has developed a relationship with this cat and has decided he wants it. For a long time we just told him that it was too much. Look at the picture where it says $50…that’s a lot of money when you’re six. Well, guess what. Now she’s only $10 and Colm has $10 burning a hole in his pocket. Please, dear God, let someone else buy that cat before we walk past that store again. Amen.

No, he’s not supposed to be on the kitchen table, but…

This is our favorite hand soap. Usually we get lavender, but I let Colm pick out the “flavor” last time and he decided we needed to try apple.
