This is a really good story, but quite dark and it makes me glad that I live now and not in the early 1900’s. It is the story of two women who live in a rural/farming area and depend on one another for company. Their relationship has many ups and down (mostly downs) and when the Depression puts a strain on their already awkward friendship, things never seem to recover.
