Nike has places all around the country where you can drop off your old tennies for recycling. Today we took about six or seven pairs to one of their drop off sites.

Sean got this bag at a conference he went to in Ireland. He gave it to Colm and Colm made it his Ready, Freddy! bag. Ready, Freddy is a series of chapter books geared towards first graders. These are Colm’s first chapter books and he is so proud of himself…as he should be. I love this bag because he carries it with him just about everywhere we go and he loves going to the library to get more books to read to put in his Ready, Freddy bag.
Our lovely neighbors asked us over for lunch today with several other families. However, when they say lunch, they really mean lunch almost until dinnertime. We had some magnificent food, then played some games and then ate some more. I was STUFFED by the time we left. I have to tell you about the games…oh my GOODNESS! I would be leaving out a huge part of this story if I didn’t tell you that the family whose house we were at are Hindi and so were 95% of the people at the party which played a huge part in the games. First we played movie Charades, but most of the movies were Indian movies. I was cracking up though just listening to everyone yelling out guesses in Hindi… so much fun. Then we played Lotto, which is like Bingo, but not. There was candy for prizes so Colm was very intent on winning, but he didn’t. Luckily, there was plenty of candy left over at the end for everyone.
