Colm has been asking for “nuts he can crack” ever since we got out our decorative Christmas nutcrackers that don’t really crack nuts. Lucky us, the grocery store not only had nuts, but nutcrackers.

(Project 365-12/11/10)
Colm is on the bells in the lower left-hand corner and Liam is in the upper right-hand corner.
Now I know how to not shoot a video with my new phone. So, the video isn’t great, but the kids sound good and Liam is way in the upper right-hand corner this time. I don’t think you can see him at all. It stinks being the tall kid stuck in the back.

We will be having a special Mass on Saturday for Our Lady of Guadalupe. All of the children at Mass will get to walk up the aisle and present flowers in front of the picture of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Liam, however, was chosen (because I volunteered him) to be St. Juan Diego, so he gets to walk up the aisle with flowers in his tilma and then turn around and show everyone the image of Our Lady that has appeared on his garment. We went today to help decorate the church and the kids had a little dress rehearsal.

We were at Nordstrom’s last week picking up my super cute boots, when we came across Nordstrom’s giving tree. There were two trees to chose from. You could either purchase a pair of shoes for a child in need or pick a tag off the tree to give a toy to a child at the local children’s hospital. The boys chose the hospital tree and they each found a tag on the tree with a boys’ name on it that was their age. So Erik, age 8, we hope you love your Transformer and Liam, age 6, we hope you enjoy your Legos. But more than that, we hope that you get to go home from the hospital soon and that the year 2011 is a healthy one for you.

If you live in the Pacific Northwest you need a pair of jelly boots, wellies, rainboots…whatever you want to call them. I finally gave in and got some.

Practicing their song for First Reconciliation right before everyone got there.
Liam gets to do a reading for his First Reconciliation at church tomorrow, so we went up there today to practice, get used to the microphone, etc.
