Liam is doing research on Louis Pasteur. They are going to have a “wax museum” where they dress up as their person and recite a memorized speech about their person in first person. One of the other assignments that goes along with this project is creating a box of items that represent their person. Liam’s box has an Eiffel Tower, a container of creamer, a wedding ring, a test tube and a picture of Louis Pasteur.

We went to Peachwave today. I don’t indulge in it very often, but when I do my favorite flavor combo is plain tart yogurt with Capt’n Crunch and coconut. What is your favorite flavor combo?
They have the swimsuits out at Target. Why? I have no idea, especially in these parts since it won’t be warm enough to actually go swimming until July anyways. I saw these though and knew that if I liked them I should get them because if I wait until July then I will never find ones that I like because they will all be picked over by then.
Okay, I know you are supposed to go get your new license within 30 days of moving to a new state, but clearly that did not happen in this case. Our insurance company lit a fire under us though, so we did it. Sean took his on Friday and passed with flying colors. I took mine on Monday and FAILED!!!! I got a 74% and you have to get an 80%. I was too busy yesterday to go, so I studied a little more and tried again on Wednesday and I passed…with an 80%. The first time I took it I took it on the computer which is a bit stressful because it tells you when you have missed one and you can’t go back. So, the second time I took on paper which meant an actual person had to grade it. She graded it and told me that I had had not passed the test by one question. She decided to go back and double-check her grading and thank goodness she did because she had actually marked one wrong that was right! Woohoo!!!! Of course, the camera wasn’t working so I couldn’t actually get my license. I have to go back tomorrow to do that when hopefully the camera will be working again.
I don’t know how green these bananas look to you, but let me tell you, they are GREEN. I understand that they can’t pick the bananas when they are yellow because then they would be bad by the time they got to my local grocer, but come on! Every time I’ve been to the store lately I have to buy uber-green bananas that we won’t be able to eat for the next three days.
We have this little niche in the wall in our house at the bottom of the stairs. It took me a while to figure out what to put there, but this seems to be working for now. It needs a big picture of Mary or something up above…there’s a bigger blank area that you can’t see in this picture. I’ll keep looking for something and when I see it, I will know it’s the right thing for that little space.
Our poor cat has had some pretty serious health problems lately. He was severely dehydrated, had a UTI, was vomiting a lot and they thought he was having kidney failure. It turned out that he has a thyroid issue and that his kidneys are fine. One of the problems that cats often have when they get that sick is that they will stop eating and drinking and it’s hard to get them to start back up. I had to actually use a syringe/plunger type thing to force feed/hydrate him for a while after he came off his IV. Anyways, he’s doing better now, but I have found that he seems to not want to drink from his water bowl. I will catch him drinking from puddles left in the shower, or in this picture he was trying to drink from the little area where you put the dish soap. There wasn’t any in there, so I filled it with water for him and he went to town.
I was trying to get a picture of the boys in their matching pajamas, but as you can see, they were in the mood to be super silly. They are singing in this picture. Goofy boys!
