There is a little girl named Sarah who is the little sister of a boy that Colm played soccer with this past fall. Her mother and I often talk at pick-up time at school and she has grown attached to me and I must admit I absolutely ADORE this little girl. She drew me a picture…I thought this was pretty good for a three-year old. 🙂

I had the best book club when we lived in Kansas and I have missed it so much, so I was very excited when I was invited to join a book club here. I went for the first time tonight and had a great time…a great discussion, a great bunch of ladies, cranberry/almond scones and wine. 🙂
Our Lenten service project…canned goods for those in need.
You can tell what sport season it is by taking a peek into the back of my car.
Getting the luggage in the car and getting ready to head home.
Our third trip to Legoland.
This was the first time we’ve been to Legoland that Colm was able to do this…the past two times he had to do the little kid version which isn’t nearly as fun. The little kid version just involves driving in circles, the big kid version involves stop signs, stop lights and lane changes.

Getting everyone within reach (including themselves) wet. Sean and I were very excited that they were old enough and tall enough to do this by themselves this year.

Liam was finally old enough this year to participate in the Lego Mindstorms class they offer at Legoland. It’s a 45 minutes class where they learn how to program their Lego robot to perform certain tasks. It was very cool and they only let Colm in for the last five minutes or so after he promised he wouldn’t touch anything.

La Jolla Beach
We took a VERY cool behind the scenes tour of Petco Park where the San Diego Padres play.
One more beach…this is in Del Mar.
Christie and I hung out in the morning and also took a walk along the canal with her dog, Luke.
Then we sprung Dana from the conference and headed to the Space Needle.

Hokey tourist photo
Then to a park for some scenic pictures….
Then I ended up needing to head back to Portland early because Sean got stung by a wasp in the neck and they had to shoot him up with Cortizone because the poison from the stinger was making both the inside and outside of his neck swell making it difficult for him to breathe. After three hours in the ER to make sure he was going to be okay, they sent him home.
When an awesome opportunity presents itself and it’s only three hours away, I am going to figure out a way to make it happen. So I dropped off the boys at school this morning and headed north to Seattle. My dear friend, Christie, lives there and my other dear friend, Dana, was going to be in Seattle for a conference. How could I pass up hanging out with two of my bestest high school friends in a super cool town? Plus, Dana lives in Pennsylvania, so for three of us to be together was quite a feat. Oh, and Dana didn’t know I was coming because I made up a super lame excuse as to why I couldn’t make it so we could surprise her.

Me and the troll under the bridge.
We picked up Dana from her conference and had dinner plans later on, but since he had some time to spare we ran by High Five Pies to pick up dessert. I will admit I bought two.
Hey, they’re good!
Then dinner at a great Ethiopian restaurant with Dana and Christie and also Brandon, another person I went to high school with that I haven’t seen since 1991 and his “lady friend”, Allison.
