This is the project we will be sharing with the children this month. No, this looks nothing like a Pieter Bruegel painting, but the idea is to teach the children about overlapping and how overlapping helps the artist to show how objects are closer or further away.

Birthday Boy! (Project 365-4/23/11)

This is the first house we have ever lived in where the stairs are narrow enough that a Slinky will actually work! The boys were SO excited!

A friend and I somehow recently got on the topic of honey and she was telling me about this great honey she buys from Amazon. We eat A LOT of honey around here. Colm eats it every day. EVERY. DAY. on his waffles. This particular kind of honey is supposed to be even better than regular honey because it is less processed so more of the natural enzymes aren’t lost as they are in regular grocery store honey. This honey is also darker than regular honey and more important than all of that…it’s yummy. The greatest part of this little story though is that my friend, Yulim, was nice enough to give me a WHOLE bottle of it to try. Wasn’t that nice? 🙂
