We went to the Greek Festival this weekend. We ate TONS of yummy food. The boys got their faces painted and jumped in the bouncy house and we got to see some traditional Greek folk dancing.

I felt so silly buying this butter and it looks even sillier sitting on my kitchen table. The butter on the right is the butter I normally buy. I have been buying it for years and years, but I also have to buy one about ever ten days or so. You see, the Kelleys really like butter. On everything. And a lot of it. Colm has butter on his waffles every single day. Liam has butter on his toast several times a week. Then we have a baguette a few times a week and everyone has to have butter on that and before you know it…the butter is gone and we are in crisis mode because there’s no butter for Colm’s waffles in the morning. So, I broke down and bought this ginormous tub of butter. It’s ridiculous really, but at least we have butter.
This week Colm is at golf camp in the morning while Liam is at computer programming camp. After I pick up Colm we have about 40 minutes or so to wait around for Liam to get done. Well, the building the class is in has a loft upstairs over the library that has some couches, some books and some board games. We decided to break out a board game to pass the time. So glad we did. Colm LOVES this game. 🙂
Last summer I took the boys geocaching and we found a total of ZERO geocaches. ZERO. We decided to try it again and we found one!!!! (Yes, one.) We looked for about 5, but only found one. The one we did find was one we had looked for last year and could’t find, so we were super excited when we found it this year. If you don’t know what geocaching is, it’s like a high-tech scavenger hunt using your GPS. When you find one, it usually has some goodies in it (think toys, baseball cards, etc.) and usually a book to sign your name and put the date. This one had action figures in it, so we took some action figures to leave and also got to take some with us.
I know you’re thinking to yourself, “Dandelions? Really? She’s posting something about dandelions?” Stick with me here, I have my reasons. See, I am fascinated by the dandelions here. They are not like the dandelions of my youth. The dandelions here are looooong and dainty. I almost want to say they are pretty. Look at the one in the middle. See how tall it is?
