We got next to nothing done today and I think we finally all managed to get cleaned up and out of our jammies by 2:00. It was for a good cause though. We were busy watching these ladies play a very good game of soccer.
Our church had a picnic today for all of the people who volunteer in various ministries and their families. The children’s director organized a scavenger hunt and a water balloon toss for the kids.

Bunkbeds
Liam’s soccer coach from last season has organized a very informal soccer session each Tuesday night. Sometimes they just scrimmage, sometimes they do drills and scrimmage. It depends on how many people show up…one time there was close to 30 kids, tonight there were closer to 15. Liam has a great time. One, he likes soccer…A LOT and two, the coach’s son is one of Liam’s best friends.
Since it was 7-11, 7-11 was giving away free Slurpees all day. We weren’t going to go because I knew it would be a madhouse, but we happened to drive by and the boys were complaining about how hot they were (It was about 69 degrees, by the way.) so we stopped. It was crowded, but it went pretty quickly and Liam even managed to win an upgrade to a free medium-sized Slurpee and Colm won a free hot dog. Woohoo!
