Not only was it rainy, but it was early and chilly. Not a good combo for a soccer game, but Liam’s team did awesome and they won! Thankfully, by the time Colm had his game the weather had improved.

You know school’s in session when you find these laying around the house. Clearly, Colm has been making his wish list.

Bop Bop accidentally made it into the laundry today. Every time I see this little guy I think of the day we got him. Liam was three years old and I had taken him to go see his favorite musician at the time, Jim Cosgrove, at Union Station. Liam was chosen to go up on stage and sing “Bop Bop Dinosaur” with Jim. That, in itself, is very cool, but that’s not the memorable part. Usually kids go up on stage and Jim sings the song and the child he has chosen to come up on stage sings the “bop, bop” part. Well, Liam went up on stage and Jim started singing and it didn’t take Jim too long to realize that Liam was going to sing the whole song, not just the “bop, bop” parts. Jim stopped singing and played his guitar and let Liam sing the whole song by himself. It was awesome.

Our Tuesdays are a bear. After school we go to violin, then Liam has soccer practice and then Colm has soccer practice. We get home a little before 8:00pm. As I head out the door to get the boys from school I have to bring both of their violins, their violin books, all of their soccer gear, snacks, water and reading material for me.

After a beautiful church service outside in the shade (with the most perfect homily about forgiveness) we had our annual parish picnic. Liam and his friend Jack didn’t win the balloon toss, but they hung in there until the end.

Sean was in (another) fender bender recently, so his Prius is in the shop. This is his rental car and he LOVES it. He loves it so much he is thinking about getting one.
