It is WAY too early to be buying Christmas anything, in my opinion, but I always buy the boys a new nutcracker for Christmas (they have quite the collection going now) and we were at Target and the boys were with me and the nutcrackers were on display, so…

It’s time to gear up for art lit again at our wonderful school. The parents will be teaching the kids about Joan Miro this month. Sean and I both went to the parent training. This is Sean’s. I didn’t have time to make one because I had to leave a bit early.

They were having a festival for dogs at the World Forestry Center today, so off we went with our pup in tow. The boys were way more excited about being there than our sweet dog. He was terrified at first, but then warmed up to the idea. We also purchased a Halloween bandana for our dog from an organization that was raising funds to rescue deaf dogs from shelters and to also help owners who have deaf dogs learn how to work with their dogs.

It was a gorgeous afternoon, the boys we were done with their soccer games for the day and I was not going to sit around the house all day, so Sean and I rustled up the boys and off we went to Chinatown. I can not believe we had done been to the Chinese gardens before. This is a little piece of heaven in the middle of the city…so quiet and beautiful.

Since the boys didn’t have school today I wanted to take them on a little trip to a restaurant that was actually on our “to do” list from this summer, but we never got around to it. Well, apparently everyone else in the city had the same idea because it was CROWDED! We waited over an hour! The boys were uber patient though and the fun they had was well worth the wait.

You pick what kind of batter you want…there were about six to choose from, we chose buttermilk and peanut butter. The batter comes in a squeeze bottle.

Everyone gets their own spatula and you cook the pancakes at your table. You also choose what toppings you want. We chose chocolate chips, chocolate syrup, bananas and apples. Can you guess which ones Colm chose?
