The first day is a “robber guy” because nothing gets a person into the spirit of advent more than a Lego robber guy.

Liam is on an indoor soccer team this season and he had to get new shoes since you can’t wear regular cleats. Apparently, you really shouldn’t wear regular indoor soccer shoes either (I guess this particular indoor soccer place has a special type of turf) so we got these snazzy soccer shoes with very cool bottoms. Thank goodness for sales and coupons. Very rarely does very cool shoes = not very much money.

I FINALLY got to go to the La Bodega in Leawood. The grandparents watched the boys so Sean and I could go. It was just as yummy as I had hoped…maybe we’ll be lucky enough to go again next year.

There are a lot of little boy cousins on Sean’s side of the family. There are five boys missing from this picture that are all a part of the boy birthing marathon on that side of the family. Colm is the oldest at 7 and then the youngest of the boys is two, so all together I think that makes about 10 boys born in between 2004 and 2009…most of them are in the 5-7 year old range though and they all had a blast running around on Thanksgiving.

Sean and Colm enjoying a game of Battleship while Great-grandma Virginia reads a magazine. What you can’t see is that the reason Sean can’t seem to hit any of Colm’s battleships is because Colm had stacked them on top of each other. Totally cheating, I know, but I thought it was pretty clever, too. Colm lost by default once Sean figured out what he’d done. 🙂

At the top of Colm’s “to do” list while we were in Kansas City, was to play pool at Nanny and Papa’s house.

I absolutely LOVED watching my mom teach the boys how to sew! They each made a pillow…actually Colm ended up making two.

We are back in Kansas City for my father-in-law’s retirement party, my grandma’s 94th birthday and Thanksgiving, of course.
