I was getting further and further behind in my scrapbooking, so I buckled down this week and got some done before the holidays hit and I have even more pictures to think about. I am basically caught up through August right now which I am feeling pretty good about.

If your kids play an instrument then you know that you are probably going to hear Christmas music starting around Halloween time so they have time to practice and get ready for the inevitable Christmas concert. I made this video so that we would have the bowings and then we could use it at home during practice, but the video quality isn’t too great so I’m not sure how much it’s going to help us in that department. I do love listening to the kids play their Christmas music though.

Since I have the funky chicken fungus virus in my eyeballs, I am supposed to use this to make sure that my eyes don’t get any worse.

The prescription in my new glasses isn’t really that different than my old prescription, but my lenses were so scratched that I really needed a new pair. It had been over two years since I got new ones and with two boys, glasses really take a lot of wear and tear…wrestling, flying soccer balls, you name it.

Our pup has a mass on his leg that he keeps licking. He is going to have surgery next week to have it removed, but in the meantime he has to wear this thing so he won’t lick in and hopefully it won’t get infected.

Liam’s black belt testing is next week. He has worked hard, he has practiced, he had put in hours and hours and hours of practice. One last thing needed to be done before he could test though. He had to write a 3-page paper on the history of tae kwon do. I would say it probably took him almost three hours to research it and get it all down on paper. He did a great job and I am so glad he didn’t have school today so that he could have the gift of time to get it done.

Today was Colm’s class got to learn about Joan Miro. Despite a technical glitch in the middle of the presentation everything went well, the kids loved their projects and the parents had a great time helping.

Sean and I went with a couple of other parents today and helped Liam’s class learn about Joan Miro. Then the kids made a painting in the style of Joan Miro.
