Ford County is made up of several short stories about the comings and goings of the fictional folks who live in Ford County, Mississippi. Some of the stories are more entertaining that others and quite a few of them have some pretty stereotypical southern characters. It is not my favorite book of his that I have read. A Painted House, however, is a fantastic story that you won’t be able to put down.
