This book is two different stories in one that eventually merge which is exactly why I couldn’t put the book down. I knew they were going to merge, but I had to keep reading to find out when and how. One of the stories takes place in Paris during World War 2 during the time when thousands and thousands of Jews, mostly children, were shipped away in cattle cars. The other part of the story takes place in modern day Paris. Read this book on your own or with your book club, either way you won’t be able to put it down. Two thumbs up!
