Our sweet pup is such a help in the kitchen. He loves to help clean up after dinner. Here he is licking a spatula clean for me. The spatula used to be in the place where you put dirty silverware, but he licked it so much it fell out and so now he is trying to “clean” it as it moves around the dishwasher door. Soon it will fall to the floor and he will lick it while moving around the floor where it might eventually end up on the carpet…this is a daily occurrence.

Liam and I spent this afternoon packing lots of citrus fruit into 5 lb. bags at the Oregon Food Bank with his First Communion class.

Belt testing is coming up in the next month or so. Here is Colm learning his form from one of the black belts.

The boys didn’t have school on Friday, so on Thursday Liam had a sleepover with his best bud. They played video games, played with Legos and we also went out to eat to Red Robin. They went to bed at a decent hour which I was very happy about, too.

I am not a coffee fan at all, but I do like a good hazelnut steamer every now and again. There is a coffee shop in town that makes the BEST steamers, but they aren’t anywhere near where I live. Sometimes if I am in a pinch, I will get one at Starbucks and I am always disappointed. Why do I continue to get them there when I am disappointed every time? I have no idea.

So professional with his bamboo and goat hair brush.

Liam has been asking if he could cook dinner some night. He also wanted to create his own dish. As you can imagine I was a little leery about the latter part of this request. I must say though that he did a FANTASTIC job! He made a french onion split pea soup which is kind of funny since I am the only person in the house that likes peas.

I do not allow these in the house. Why? Because I will EAT them!!!! Sean HAD to have them though. My compromise was that he could buy the little bag. I have been practicing large-huge amounts of self control and I have only had three chips. Did you know that nine chips is a serving? That’s ridiculous! Who sits down to eat chips and only eats nine? Not me, that’s for sure.

Colm’s first basketball game was today. They did fantastic. Colm made two baskets and is an expert in defense. 🙂 Watch him. He cracks me up…he is all over that other kid.

Liam doesn’t know these kids and it doesn’t matter. These boys have a DS and a box of Pokemon cards and they are all waiting for their younger brothers to get done playing basketball which means they have an hour to spend doing what 7-10 year old boys love to do.
