One of the staff members at the boys’ school unexpectedly passed away last weekend. They had a memorial service today to celebrate her life and her impact on the school. It was so well done and so beautiful…students, parents, staff and her family all gathered together. The children sang and the teachers read a few letters the children had written to her. They had asked each child to bring in a few flowers. This is only some of the flowers…I couldn’t get them all in the picture.
This is one of the songs the children sang…
This was so awesome…they had the fifth graders start and then the fourth graders joined in, then third grade, etc, etc…by the end all of the children were singing. What a beautiful tribute.

This little kitty has been in the window for months and months and months. Colm has developed a relationship with this cat and has decided he wants it. For a long time we just told him that it was too much. Look at the picture where it says $50…that’s a lot of money when you’re six. Well, guess what. Now she’s only $10 and Colm has $10 burning a hole in his pocket. Please, dear God, let someone else buy that cat before we walk past that store again. Amen.
See that kick? That is the kick that always gets coaches to make Liam the goalie. He doesn’t especially like being the goalie, but he is good at it. He’s not one of those kids you see at soccer games who are quick and agile and zip all over the place, but is strong and that kick can send the ball almost into the opponent’s net at the other end of the field.

The boys’ school had a carnival tonight and Liam won the cakewalk. Normally, this would result in Liam picking out something sweet from the table with all the goodies on it. You see, the problem is that Liam has a brother with a HUGE sweet tooth who did not win the cake walk, so they are having a “discussion” as to what Liam should pick. Yes, I had to intervene. Yes, Colm tried to win the cake walk at least four more times and he never won.
