We went hiking today at the Arboretum. It was kind of a cloudy day, so we didn’t get to see the spectacular views that you can normally see, but we still had a nice little hike.
Here we are taking a rest. Colm felt the need to stop at just about every bench we came across so he could get a drink and rest his poor weary legs.
We have an awesome farmers market and we had a great time sharing it with Grandma and Granddad. There were lots of samples to be had as well as scones, blackberries, blueberries, some locally made fruit soda, cheese, jam and bread to be purchased.
The boys have been talking about painting at the pottery place with Grandma and Granddad since June. Well, the grandparents came to visit this week and this was one of our first outings. Everyone made their very own masterpiece and I am sure they will all look fantastic after they get fired.

Colm had his first soccer practice tonight even thought it was hotter than all get out.
The boys have been wanting to go play in the fountains by our house since they turned them on in June, but honestly, Liam is just too big, so we haven’t gone. However, Liam is going to TKD camp for a large chunk of the day this week, so Colm and I went to go check things out.
These fountains are more for the younger crowd. I think even Colm might have been a little too old, but he had fun. I just had to keep reminding him not to run over the little kids. 🙂
Sean will say I am whining, but it’s been hot here. HOT! Did I mention we don’t have air conditioning??? It has been in the mid-90’s for several days and it is almost unbearable at night. Without this fan I don’t think I would have been able to sleep. Love this fan.
IKEA is our friend. We have gone to visit our friend IKEA quite a few times since we moved here. However, I think after this weekend, Sean would prefer not to see our good friend, IKEA, for quite some time. He spent A GOOD chunk of the weekend putting together bookshelves and a coat rack.
