We hosted a sixth grade digital scavenger hunt tonight. It was so much fun!!! The boys were divided into two teams and they had a list of things they either had to do or find around the neighborhood and they had to either take pictures of or make videos of what was on the list. This is a picture of one of the group’s feet which was one of the things that was on their list. The boys did a great job and it was so much fun to see what they found.

After they were done they played a game of touch football for about an hour. They were all happy and sweaty by the time parents started showing up to take everyone home.

The boys and I took the subway to Arlington. It was SO HOT that day, but I am glad we made the journey. Not only did they get to see the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, but they also got to see the changing of the guard and the grave of JFK and his family.

This was an absolutely gorgeous building and one that Sean and I didn’t go to when we were here 12 years ago. I am pretty sure that this building didn’t even exist 12 years ago. I don’t know if this was Liam’s favorite museum, but he loved its architecture.

The first thing we did on our first full day in D.C. is go on a tour of the Capitol Building. My father-in-law had arranged for one of Sam Graves’ aides to take us on a tour so we wouldn’t have to stand in line with everyone else wanting to go on a tour.
