People lined the streets of Cannon Beach to watch the town’s Independence Day Parade. It was a great parade and I am pretty sure the boys got just about as much candy at this parade as they do on Halloween night.

Sean and I went out for breakfast while the boys were at their last day of soccer camp this morning. I am not much of an early morning/brunch drinker, but if I was, this is where I’d get my drinks. Not only is the bar beautiful, but I loved watching the bartender make the drinks. Bar tending is definitely an art forms at this establishment and if the drinks are half as tasty as they are beautiful, then I might need to start drinking Bloody Marys.
So Liam had a rough day at soccer camp today complete with a bee sting to the neck, so to take his mind off of his bad day, we headed out to get some pizza after camp. It turns out that the boys thought this was the best pizza they’d ever had.
The boys have soccer camp in the morning and they needed new shoes, bags, water bottles, shin guards, and shorts…these kids are GROWING!!! We went to three different stores this morning getting all of the stuff they need, but they are packed and ready to go.

It got hot today, but we persevered and went berry picking. There were blackberries, raspberries and marionberries. They are all SOOO good, but I think my favorite ones were the ones that I ate while we were there. They were warm from the sun and just a little bit smushy.
We had a fantastic day visiting Manzanita. It was raining when we got there, so we grabbed a bite to eat at a lovely sandwich shop and then headed down to the beach. We explored, got wet, played baseball, flew kites and almost lost a shoe or two in the ocean.
We also had to take some group shots. I had everyone lined up and took a picture when I noticed the water was going to come in and get everyone’s shoes/feet wet. The water was chilly and I knew they’d be surprised so I just kept taking pictures…the picture above is one of them. (insert evil laugh here) 🙂
Kate, Patrick and the girls have a tradition of going to ballparks whenever they travel,so since SafeCo field isn’t too far from where we live, we drove up to Seattle to see a game. The Mariners lost and the traffic going home was horrific, but it was fun to spend time with the family at the game.
