This past weekend we had the last book club of the summer for the kids in our neighborhood. The younger kids read Star Jumper: Jounal of a Cardboard Genius. It’s the story of a boy, his inventions and his annoying little brother who turns out to be an asset in the end. The older kids read Pictures of Hollis Woods. It is SUCH a good book and was the winner of the Newbery Award in 2007.
